TLA Blend TLA Blend (AC) represents a mixture of
Trinidad Lake Asphalt and Refinery Bitumen. The blend is so designed
as to yield an end product whose characteristics are similar,
yet whose quality far exceeds anything remotely available with
a bitumen only pavement. Different grades are designed for different
applications. The 60-70 blend is used in road paving while the
tougher 17-23 blend is quite common in roofing applications. Lake Asphalt of Trinidad and Tobago (1978)
Limited manufacturers both 60/70 and 17/23 TLA Blend (Asphalt
Cement). Asphalt Cement is manufactured exclusively by Lake Asphalt
. 60/70 TLA Blend (Asphalt Cements) is
available in imperial gallons (bulk) and in drums. In bulk form,
it is transported in a tank wagon to the customer’s site for storage
until ready for use. 17/23 blend is available only in drums and is can be purchased directly from Lake Asphalt of Trinidad and Tobago (1978) Limited. END
